Football Betting

If you are thinking about betting on football as a pastime, then make sure you read the basics of the system in order to understand how to place bets and the kinds of bets that can be placed.

Firstly, in football betting there are various kinds of bets that can be made. Straight Bets are made on the number of points on the team that you think will win. This must be carefully decided by you in order to win the bet. If there is a tie then the money is re-deposited into your account. You can also bet on the total score (both teams combined) that you think the game will end on. For example, if you think that both teams combined will end up at a score somewhere around 45, and luckily it does happen in the end, then you win the bet.

Money Line Wagers means that the team you bet on absolutely has to win for you at any cost. The amount of money you get will vary depending on the line movement. Half-time wagers are based only on the first half’s score, or on the second half depending on the half you bet on. Parlays are when you bet on a selection of teams to win. If these teams win you will get money. Depending on how many teams you pick, and how many of them win, you can make a lot of money from this kind of betting.

Future book wagers are bets that are made for an event that is scheduled to take place in the future. Usually this involves betting on teams before the season officially begins, based on the odds. Finally, proposition bets or exotics, are bets that don’t fall in the above given categories. These are usually about specific events or occurrences that may happen during any game. These include betting on occurrences such as which team will score first or which team will score last etc.
